Mission Point Planning Scholarship Fund

Young Community Leaders Scholarship for Federal Employees

Hence our name, having and believing in a mission is critical to success in one’s life. Here at Mission Point Planning and Retirement, a ‘strong calling or vocation’ is something we embrace and look to aid those who embark on one. We want to give back and reward like-minded, soon-to-be high school graduates who envision a ‘mission’ to take action and make an impact in their community while earning and assuming leadership roles to help those in need.

As strong supporters of Federal and Postal employees, we are pleased to offer this scholarship to high school seniors as they foster a focus and develop a dream. We are looking to reward a young person who has showcased a leadership ability both in their school and in the surrounding area. We hope to find a student who has excelled in both the classroom and community, caring not only about their final grades but also on giving back.

Eligible applicants:

  • Must be a family member within the third degree by consanguinity or affinity of a person who is an employee of the federal government or United States Postal Service who is living, working or have retired in the state of Michigan
  • Must be at least 16 years of age at the time of his/her application and no more than 18 years of age when he/she would receive the scholarship

The scholarship may only be used for qualified education expenses which include tuition or fees required to enroll at an eligible institution, books, supplies, or equipment that are required for a course of instruction. Non-qualified expenses include room and board, travel, research or clerical help.

Fill out the form to apply. Once completed, we will email you a full, formal scholarship application. Thank you and good luck
