Traveling in 2021? Know before you go!
Special Webinar with Scott Hunter the Traveling Man.
Our most recent interview with Scott Hunter ‘The Traveling Man’ is now published for your viewing.
In this wide ranging interview, I left my financial advisors hat at home and put on my traveling hat and peppered Scott with the questions I thought we all might want to know.
What’s open? What type of precautions do I need to take? What if I get covid on vacation? What do I need to know before I go? What if my trip is cancelled or needs to be changed? Can I leave the country and still come back? What are some of the best vacation spots accommodating US travelers? Are there any areas to avoid?
Truthfully, I was one of the people that thought using travel agent was something only really rich people did, or really people planning a destination wedding. I came away from my time with Scott with a new appreciation for the value a great travel agent can bring, especially in the era of Covid.
The one very large take-away from the interview is the need for all travelers to stay on top of the everchanging guide lines as your trip approaches. You don’t want to show up at the airport only to find out you won’t be able to travel because you missed something. Scott highlighted an outstanding resource he provides at no charge on his website as a one stop shop to view the guidelines. Please click her to access his resource center. An ounce of preparation was worth of pound of cure.
Scott also discussed the need for travel insurance depending on the area you may be going. I found a very interesting article that entitled “Is Travel Insurance Worth Getting” that I found helpful. As always, if you are unsure, talking to a trusted advisor (travel, not financial) is the best course of action.
